A Fuzzy White Ball

Writer's picture: Alexandria LimAlexandria Lim

Swimming to shore, making my way to the warm sand Running into the house, head spinning, debating between wanting you and how I can make things go right. In the middle of a room, 10 blue doors surrounding me Entering the first door, encountering a hungry polar bear cub Aggression, built up in this small being Not living a free willed life Starving for love, starving for peace, starving to live I will help it if it lets me As long as I don’t get hurt, I will As I rush out and into the next door, I see you I hug you, I miss you, I want you Though, you have a little polar bear inside of you It doesn’t scare me as much, because you are still you I stay sane to keep you sane You can only lose so much of a grasp of reality till things take the wrong turn Stay here, I want you here
